Two Sawtooth Stars Table Runner

I just wanted a table runner for Independence Day. So I made one.

Two Sawtooth Star blocks, side by side. Simple, classic, and a really good way to get comfortable with stitch-and-flip corners — which is how both the flying geese and the square-in-a-square units come together.

And you don’t HAVE to use red, white and blue!

If you’ve looked at a Sawtooth Star and thought it seemed complicated, it’s not. It’s just corners. Once you see how stitch-and-flip works, the whole block makes sense.

The finished size is 18″ x 36″. The pattern is beginner-friendly and includes step-by-step videos — there’s a QR code inside that takes you straight to the playlist on YouTube.
